London, 2015, Independent Quality Control for Main Contractor
The client assigned the design and build work of a new project to the main contractor. The client mandated certain specifications that included high-end technical criteria. The project required the use of latest technologies within the building. However, the main contractor lacked this cutting-edge specialist knowledge to execute the project. Due to their insufficient experience in the technical field, there were certain difficulties that posed a challenge to the project.
Whiston Solutions provided the initial input and coordination, covering the best practices of M&E and IT integrated systems. We also helped the contractor with selection, construction, and commissioning phases to meet their specifications. With our technical know-how, we were able to fulfil the client’s stringent requirements. Our team integrated with the main contractor’s team at the beginning of the project to provide higher benefit to the process. Since our processes started early, we were able to offer more value.
With the integration of the two teams, the project had access to more resources, which provided greater value for money by cutting back on time and saving the finances that were spent on the project. The main contractor realised that with the help of specialist external expertise, they can deliver a better result that would suit the strict requirements of the client.
