Whiston Solutions was appointed by a global corporate to develop a lifecycle replacement strategy for a datacentre cooling system. The datacentre, which was critical to the company’s operations, was to remain fully active for the duration of these replacement works. The additional challenge was that the datacentre was located integrally within their business premises, which were fully occupied by their staff. Our strategy, therefore, would require careful planning and flawless, fully-coordinated execution in order to maintain full operational functionality and zero business downtime.

Our team developed a step-by-step lifecycle plan to ensure all of their needs were fully met. We collaborated with the Datacentre operational team, providing professional advice and reassurance and gaining full client approval and sign-off at every stage. Communications played a vital role, with progress updates and senior management reports keeping key stakeholders fully-informed at all times.
Our collaborative approach, detailed planning and constant flow of communications ensured a seamless delivery that had zero impact on the business’s day-to-day operations. At no point did our schedule of activity cause down-time or restrict staff activities. The datacentre cooling system was successfully replaced and integrated within the premises systems – on time, on budget, and with no disruption or mid-project surprises.
