London-based Investment Bank
2010 - 2012, Improving efficiencies within the world of banking
Our client, a major Investment Bank, needed advice to maximise head count within their existing occupied London HQ. Multiple business units were spread over seven floors of the City building, which consisted of both front and back office functions. The project involved a redesign of the workspace layout in conjunction with M&E engineering and IT system upgrades. Working hand-in-hand with our client, we developed a detailed project plan that would ensure the brief was met in terms of time, budget and outcome, all to be delivered whilst causing minimal disruption to the clients’ daily business.
This multi-stranded project required real coordination and collaboration between our own ‘banking experienced’ project team and with our client. Our experts led the programme of work, from understanding the unique requirements of each business unit through to the onsite implementation and handover. We ensured standards and quality were not compromised throughout the project and provided client sign off for each stage as it was completed. We also put in place a very thorough communications plan to ensure the bank’s staff were kept fully informed of the on-going works.
The completed project was delivered in just 24 months, and the revitalised workspace was an outstanding success. Feedback from the bank’s employees confirms that our solution has created an environment that supports their activities on both a technical and a professional basis. As a result of this success we were commissioned by the bank to review and develop space efficiencies across their European premises portfolio.
